-1 lime, juiced

-salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a slow cooker, combine the black beans, yellow onion, green bell pepper, garlic, cumin, and chicken broth.

2. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.

3. About 30 minutes before the soup is done cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bell peppers and onions and sauté until softened.
